Get your FreeStyle Libre 14 Day System

Getting started with the FreeStyle Libre 14 Day System is easy and set up is quick. When you open the kit you’ll find; the users manual, quick start guide, quick reference guide, and interactive tutorial. The reader comes with a USB cable and a power adapter. First, take the reader out of the box. The unit comes already charged. Then press the blue home button to turn on the reader. All other actions are done on the touchscreen. Tap NEXT to continue. Now you can set the current time. Next, you can set your target glucose based on your healthcare professionals recommendation. Tap next to and your Glucose Reader will display how to read the glucose trend arrows. On the last screen, tap Done to continue and your are finished with your set up.

Now, lets apply the sensor. The FreeStyle Libre 14 Day Sensor Kit comes in two parts - The sensor applicator and the sensor pack. Select the site on the back of you upper arm, clean it with the alcohol wipe and let it dry. Peel the lid completely off the sensor pack and unscrew the cap from the sensor applicator. Place the sensor applicator in the open sensor cap. Press down on the sensor applicator until it comes to a stop. Life the sensor applicator out of the sensor cap. Simply place the sensor over the site. Push down firmly until the sensor is in place and make sure the sensor is secure. All that’s left is to start the sensor! Press the blue home button and tap sensor on screen. Hold the reader within 1.5 inches of the site and scan it. You can get a glucose reading with a simple scan for up to 14 days with the FreeStyle Libre 14 Day System!
